I'm Ella, and Northamptonshire is where I photograph more weddings than anywhere else. Victorian manors, converted barns, a neo-Gothic guildhall, a marquee beside a lake: I've spent full wedding days in all of them, and the British weather has tried every trick in the book.
The first thing I'll ask you to do is walk. Not pose, not smile on cue, just walk together like you do every day. Most couples tell me they're awkward in front of a camera, and by the end of the day none of them are thinking about it.

I'm based in Milton Keynes, right on the edge of the county, and Northamptonshire is where I work most. In practice, that means a few things.

Travel is included.
My full-day packages cover travel of up to 60 miles from home, which takes in Northamptonshire. No mileage line on your quote, no surprises.
I do my homework.
I know many of these venues well. If yours is new to me, I'll arrive early, wander the grounds and check the light before I pick up the camera, so nothing catches us out.
I'll go the extra mile, sometimes literally.
If the light is better somewhere else, I'll tell you. If the shot means running the perimeter of a lake or lying face-down in a muddy field, I'll do that too.

PRE-WEDDING & ENGAGEMENT SHOOTS
Meet me before the wedding, in the best parks Milton Keynes has.
An engagement shoot is one of the easiest ways to feel at ease on the day itself. I host them in Milton Keynes, where I hold a licence for the Parks Trust's beautiful parkland. I've lived in MK since birth, so I know exactly which corners are worth the walk.
You'll find out how I work, practise being photographed (it's mostly just walking and chatting), and leave with images you'll want to use for save the dates and invitations. By the time your big day comes round, you'll already know me.
MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE
I'm not a fly on the wall. I'm not a drill sergeant either.
Couples tell me three things: they felt completely comfortable, the photography was stress-free, and (my favourite) it was fun.
Comfortable. Stress-free. Fun.
I watch for the moments you cannot stage, like your dad's face when he sees you or your best friend's heckle mid-speech. I step in with something simple only when it'll make the photograph better, and portraits are short, low-key and, I promise, survivable.
Nervous about the camera? So is nearly everyone, and it never lasts past the first walk.
