My style is documentary with editorial instincts — I spend most of the day watching and almost none of it directing. Buckinghamshire's best venues reward that: wide grounds, natural light, real spaces that do the work if you let them.

WHY COUPLES CHOOSE ME

Knowing the venues matters. But it's not the reason couples actually hire me.

I got into wedding photography because I'm endlessly curious about people — the way couples look at each other when they think no one's watching, the in-jokes between bridesmaids, the dad trying not to cry and failing. That's what I'm chasing all day, not a checklist of poses.

I shoot what's actually happening

Minimal posing, minimal interruption. If I'm directing you, it's because it'll make the photo better — not because I need to fill time.

I'm calm when things go sideways

Weddings rarely run exactly to plan. Rain, late cars, a timeline that slips — I've seen it all and it never shows up in your photos as stress.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year

So you get proper attention before, during and after your day — not a photographer juggling three weddings that weekend.

The light off the lake at Furtho does most of the work — I just have to be paying attention. I've been here multiple times and I still find new corners. The outdoor ceremony space gives you natural light from every direction, and the barns at dusk are something else entirely. GRADE 1 LISTED MANOR · NEWPORT PAGNELL, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

A Georgian manor with 80 acres of grounds and windows big enough to fill the ceremony room with clean, soft light. The sweeping staircase is made for a first look. I know how this building behaves across the day — where to be at noon, where to take you for portraits at 4pm, and how to handle the reception rooms when the evening light shifts.

Most couples arrive nervous about the camera. By the end of the day, none of them are thinking about it.

Most couples arrive a little nervous about the camera — that's completely normal. I keep things low-pressure from the first minute, so there's no barking directions and no forced poses, just gentle guidance when it actually helps. Couples tend to relax faster than they expect, usually somewhere around the point I get you walking instead of posing. Not long after that, you forget I'm holding a camera at all — which is exactly where the best photographs start happening. By the end of the day, what comes back is a set of photos that actually look like people enjoying themselves. Because they were.
